Each commission begins with a private conversation about the bride, the celebration, and how she wants to feel in what she wears.

Masha develops the silhouette, defines its construction, and creates the original crochet textile by hand specifically for the gown. From the first sketch through the final fitting, the creative and technical decisions remain connected through one designer’s vision.

Only a limited number of commissions are accepted each year. Most gowns require six months or more, allowing time for textile development, precise construction, fittings, and refinement.

Bespoke Process

  • Begin by submitting a private consultation inquiry. Masha reviews the wedding date, location, desired timeline, and the general scope of the commission before confirming availability and arranging an initial conversation.

  • The process begins with a private conversation with Masha. This is an opportunity to discuss the wedding, the bride’s personal style, and how she hopes to feel in what she wears. Together, these ideas begin to establish the direction, silhouette, and character of the gown.

  • Each commission is developed exclusively for one bride.

    Masha creates the initial design direction, considering silhouette, proportion, movement, construction, and the role of the hand-crocheted textile. Sketches, materials, and selected details are refined through conversation before the design moves forward.

  • Measurements are taken in person whenever possible, or virtually with Masha’s guidance. Careful measurements establish the foundation for balance, comfort, and precise fit.

  • The defining crochet textile is created by Masha specifically for the design and structure of the gown.

    Working by eye rather than from standardized patterns, she develops the textile in relation to the silhouette, fit, support, movement, and construction of the garment. Fine fabrics, handwork, and dressmaking are then brought together as the gown takes form.

  • Fittings are planned individually according to the design, complexity of the gown, and the bride’s location. Masha works directly with each bride to arrange fittings in a setting that best suits her.

  • Once the final fitting is complete, the gown is finished, carefully inspected, and prepared for collection or delivery.

    Final arrangements are planned individually according to the bride’s location, wedding schedule, and any required travel or shipping considerations.

  • Where appropriate, a commission may include coordinated separates, interchangeable elements, or additional pieces for different moments of the celebration.

    Wedding-day dressing and styling support may also be arranged separately.

    After the wedding, selected garments may be thoughtfully altered or reinterpreted for future wear as an additional atelier service.
