Masha Osoianu grew up in Chișinău surrounded by design, textiles, and the instinct to make things by hand. Some of her earliest memories are tied to her mother’s atelier, but crochet became the language that felt entirely her own.
She learned the technique as a child from local master practitioners, and by the age of twelve she was already inventing her own patterns. What fascinated her was not only the beauty of crochet, but its freedom — the ability to create shape, volume, and structure directly with the hand, stitch by stitch, almost like drawing in three dimensions.
Over 20 years working directly with private clients, that instinct evolved into Masha's expertise in design, fit, construction, and garment development. For her, the textile and the garment are conceived together. Rather than creating flat crochet that is later cut and shaped into a garment, she develops the form as she works — building contour, proportion, and fit directly into the crochet according to the bride’s measurements. The silhouette, construction, and handwork evolve as one idea, moving directly from imagination to execution.
Masha Osoianu Bridal grew naturally from that way of working. Each gown is developed for one bride, with time given to the design, the fit, the silk, and the handwork that make it distinctly her own.
No more than eight gowns are created each year, allowing the process to remain personal and the work closely held from the first idea to the finished piece.
